As we are now well into the season of spring, the St Andrews Polo Club held their annual Charity Polo Match this past Saturday. The event, held on Errol Park Estate, was a perfect escape from the bubble and a good way to celebrate the end of coursework deadlines. I have not been to a polo match before; however, after hearing great things of the last few tournaments I thought I would give it a shot. I can honestly say I have never been to or experienced an event like it.
Spurred on (hehe, get it?) by the unusually delightful weather, a well heeled crowd of over 1,000 students and guests made their way to the gorgeous grounds of Errol Park Estate near Perth for one of the most classically ‘St Andrews’ events of the spring semester: The St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament. Presented by Graypaul Maserati Edinburgh and EFG International, the Polo Club certainly upped the level of sophistication for this year’s event. However, they stayed true to their roots by once again graciously donating the proceeds to the national Help for Heroes charity.
