On April 9th at 7.30pm in the Barron, join the African Caribbean Society on a journey through the music and dance unique to different African and Caribbean regions, full of vibrant rhythms and melodies. We caught up with the society to ask them a few questions about the event:
Describe the showcase in three words.
Dance, drama, comedy.
What makes this show an unmissable part of this year’s festival?
It’s unmissable because:
- It’s brave: it’s the first ever dance show performed by the African Caribbean Society.
- It’s unique: the chance to witness such a performance that captures the vibrancy of the African Caribbean continent has never existed in St Andrews before now.
- It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity: This a night to broaden your horizons. And it’s for one night only!
What’s something people might not know about this event?
The dances that will be featured in the show have been choreographed by actual members of the African Caribbean Society, including the president herself!
Tickets are available from the Byre website.
