Join us for the first event of Raising And Giving Week – the Fife Food Festival 2016.
Over 30 businesses will participate in the student-run charity food show, from Balgove Larder to Mara Seaweed, from Eden Mill to Harajuku Kitchen. All profits will be donated Mary’s Meals and FareShare, two food-related charities which ensure that children around the world receive a healthy and nutritious school meal daily and reduce food waste to provide healthy meals for vulnerable people in the UK.
There is food and drink for all tastes: not only hot food, but a variety of cheese and bread, wine and beers. If you have a sweet tooth, stalls will offer chocolates, truffles, macarons and cakes.
But it is not only about eating – the festival offers a raffle and activities suitable for the whole family, such as face-painting (prizes include £75 from Links Golf Course, a signed Deliciously Ella Book and a month’s supply of Popcorn).
In addition, three special cooking demonstrations will be held: BreadinFife will share their secrets on how to make wonderful bread, and share some samples with everyone who attends, Hams Hame‘s head chef Jean-Francois Geyer will showcase the best of Scottish ingredients, and The Fairmont will teach you how to create luxury cocktails by yourself. You will be able to attend on the door, but spaces are limited so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
See you all there!
Fife Food Festival is this Sunday (31st of January) from 11am-5pm at Younger Hall. £3 entry, free for under 12s.
