On Sunday February, 9th, The Fine Food Fayre will host its third annual food show in Younger Hall from 11am-5pm, in association with RAG week. A St. Andrews favorite, this event will feature fifty stalls offering a wide array of local and organic products for food lovers to sample. Special discounts on food, drinks, and cookware will be available throughout the event. This year, the Fayre will be showcasing six finalists from its Entrepreneurship contest, and it’s up to you to vote for the winner! The contestants include both students and locals, selling their unique products ranging from bubba tea to baby food.
The event will host a number of celebrity and Michelin starred chefs, including Masterchef finalist Scott Davies of The Adamson, Tony Singh from the BBC’s Incredible Spice Men, Costa barista world champion Christopher Trotter, and the Michelin starred chef from the Peat Inn. These talented chefs will present exciting and insightful demonstrations throughout the day—a must for any cooking enthusiast.
In addition to fabulous food, and world-class chefs, the event will also feature a performance from The Other Guys, St Andrew’s well-known and loved male a capella group.
To top it all off, the luxury raffle includes amazing prizes, such as a champagne dinner at The Adamson, and a week long stay in a luxury villa in the South of France. All proceeds will go to both Medecins Sans Frontières, and Maggie’s and Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year, the event raised over 5000 pounds, and hopes to raise even more this year.
A highly anticipated event, The Fine Food Fayre never disappoints. With free food, celebrity chefs and amazing performances, this year is looking to be the best yet!
