If you were lucky enough to see last year’s kaleidoscope-themed CATWALK show during RAG week(remember the raunchy moment where the models stepped out in our very own red gowns to reveal only their undies underneath! – thought so), you will know just how much fun it was to be a part of the audience!
What makes CATWALK such an amazing show to watch is the liveliness and enthusiasm that comes from the models as they make their first steps on the catwalk right through to the final walk. Do you think you have what it takes to be part of this year’s show?
CATWALK is in partnership with St.Andrews RAG week which takes place in February 2014. The fashion show aims to raise money for six local, national, and international charities (Médicins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) Families First; Children’s Hospice; Association Scotland (CHAS); Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI); Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.) and unlike the other fashion shows that take place in St. Andrews, 100% of profits go to the nominated charities!
Directors Claire and Haleigh said, ” We like to think of ourselves as inclusive, and the vibe of the show is a lot more fun than some of the other events in town. It really is a great time and we would encourage everyone to come along – we’re not scary! Castings are very relaxed, we get to know the person behind the face, and this forms a large part of our decisions. In photo-shoots we try and showcase individual personalities and on the night of the show we encourage the models to interact with the audience.”
“This year has a lot in store in terms of the show, we can’t give too much away right now but preparations are well underway and we are incredibly excited about it!”
Model Castings for CATWALK 2014 are this Friday and Saturday, October 25th (10-4) and 26th (11-6) in the Union, Venue 2.
Girls, please bring heels.
