This Sunday the new models for CATWALK were announced: take a peek here! Owl Eyes caught up with organiser Laura Carrington to find out more about the 2013 show.
Does the show have a theme this year?
Celebrating the 600th anniversary of the University of St Andrews, the theme for 2013 is 'kaleidoscope' in recognition of its inventor and one of our former principals, Sir David Brewster. Bringing the kaleidoscope back to St Andrews allows us to celebrate the talent of past and present students!
What charities is CATWALK supporting?
In partnership with St Andrews' RAG, CATWALK aims to raise money for six fantastic charities: Families First; Medecins Sans Frontiers; Association Scotland (CHAS); Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI); Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. Since CATWALK is sponsored by KPMG, every penny of the proceeds can go to those charities.
What makes CATWALK different from the other students fashion shows?
CATWALK relies heavily on local support, most of the clothes used in the show are sourced from within St Andrews, and we have also formed partnerships with local businesses such as St Andrews Shuttle. We want to turn Venue 1 into one massive party!
RAG Week will be held 1st-9th February 2013. We can't wait!
