With St Andrew’s Fashion Show season in full swing, having a countless number of outfit ideas is pretty important if you’re planning on hitting them all. Here are some suggestions from our Sartoriowl on the hottest looks for this season that you could sport to FS this weekend. As this isn’t a ball, we’ve opted for some different looks and there are no ball gowns in sight! Be brave at the fashion shows, the more creative you can be, the better.
Look number 1 features the skirt and top combination. This is one of my personal favourite outfit ideas as it’s perfectly customisable depending on what you have in your wardrobe or what you can get your hands on easily in St Andrews. Plus, it means you only need to buy one new thing, skirt or top, and pair it with an old favourite. This midi is a fairly safe choice as it will go with most tops, just be careful you don’t spill any dark drinks on it! I absolutely love these orange heels as a standout piece and they’re perfect for someone who wants to play it relatively safe on their outfit, but experiment more with accessories!
Look number 2 is the classic LBD. This outfit is ideal for someone who prefers classic style and knows what suits them already. Throw on your fave LBD or invest in a new one and pair it with some fun accessories like these shiny silver heels. If your dress has a low neckline like this one, show off a statement necklace of your choice and maybe wear your hair up with some big earrings to let your shoulders steal the show! This is an easy look to create if you don’t have much time, and you’ll still look great.
Look 4 features this amazing mustard coloured midi bodycon dress. This is quite the statement dress for someone hoping to stand out at this weekends fashion show or after party. Keep your accessories and make up simple and let this sunshine yellow dress be the focal point of the look! If you can’t bear a full night in heels, wear some comfy flats or a big wedge to stave off those sore feet. A bright dress is always a simple yet effective way of creating a statement look for a big event.
