Where: St Andrews Sailing Club on East Sands
When: 7 – 11.30pm
On Friday 4th April, STEREOSCOPE magazine are launching their fourth issue with a party at the St Andrews Sailing Club, running with the rather St Andrews-appropriate theme of ‘Heritage’.
“Tradition. Birthright. Custom. Legacy. Inheritance.” are apparently some of the things we can expect from this latest exhibition, but I suspect the evening will be anything but stuffy.
Indeed, it seems the choice of location is proving a wise move in drumming up anticipation, with its sea-view balcony and alcohol license (cocktails to be provided by Squeeze, plus BYOB). The fact that this will be the last ever student event to be held at the Club can’t hurt either; it has previously played host to antics and high-jinx at the Oktoberfest after-party.
Similar to recent exhibition ART WORKS, live music will be performed by jazz band Brass Monkey and DJ Falk Morawitz, which will hopefully ease the transition between exhibition, magazine sales and dancing.
As STEREOSCOPE Exhibitions Manager Bee Vellacott commented somewhat confidently, “It’s going to be good weather because it always is on that weekend.” We can only hope.
