What To Wear: Starfields

Now in it’s 3rd year, Starfields is one of the most highly anticipated events on the St Andrews Social Calendar, and one of the biggest and most popular events of Freshers’ week. Set in Lower College Lawn, it has a real festival feel and with headliners Klinglande, it’ll feel like the last summer festival of the season! Have a look at some of our outfit ideas to get you in the mood for Starfields 2015.

Outfit 1: I just absolutely love the pattern on this crocheted Topshop dress; patterns are really in at the moment and this high neckline is particularly 90s which has also been a big trend this year. Paired with some simple accessories, a statement dress can really make an outfit. Platform heels are the best bet for this festival-like event, so pair this dress with a simple platform wedge and you’re good to go.

Outfit 2: These cigarette trousers are great: they can easily be paired with a number of tops, and they are quite an investment as we come into AW15. Wear a sparkly or fancy top to take this outfit from day-time to night-time. Chunky boots are a smart choice for this festival-style event, and these ones are particularly cool. Accessorize with a handy small bag to keep all your valuables in while you’re dancing.

Outfit 3: This fun, mustard-coloured playsuit is the ideal comfortable outfit for an event like Starfields. Dust off your favourite playsuit for the last real summer-time event of the season, and pair it with some really comfortable sandals for a great casual look. Add a colour-clashing bumbag and some fun jewellery to complete the look.

Outfit 4:¬†Skirt and top combination outfits are a great idea if you can only afford to buy one new thing: pair an old top with a brand new, statement skirt like the one above. The stripes and the colours of this skirt are really on-trend, and paired with those lovely chunky heels makes for a great, comfortable and fashionable outfit. Add some geometric jewellery and you’re good to go.
