5 things to do before Revision blues set in

For those luckily enough to find themselves with a weekend breather with deadlines and exam revision yet to set in, you might, like me, feel at a loss as with what to do with yourself. Should I stay in bed ad watch Netflix all day? Or should I get out and try to get as much fresh air as possible before being confined to the library? To help you plan your weekend for maximum fun and distressing, here are our top 5 things to do in this no-man’s land weekend.

  1. Gilmore Girls is Back!!!

Grab as much junk food as you can man handle toward a TV set. Grab a blanket and get ready for some brand new Stars Hollow adventures. I can barely contain my excitement!

gg2. Internet Shopping

Black Friday is almost upon us. Topshop, Warehouse, Amazon are among the few stores already bombarding my email account with their plethora of deals. Get ahead on the Christmas present front, or indulge in a few little goodies for yourself to cheer yourself up when revision blues set in.

  1. Christmas Light Switch on.

6pm Saturday

What better way to get ready for the Christmas season than watching the Christmas light switch on at 6pm on Saturday. So grab a take away hot chocolate and sneak a mince pie into your pocket. You have no excuse.

christmas-lights4. Andrew’s Day Ceilidh

6.30 – 7.30pm Saturday

The best way to celebrate our towns namesake. Wrap up warm and prepare to dance over the cobbles of Market Street. I’m using the ceilidh as an excuse to drink copious amounts of mulled wine afterwards to warm up.

  1. Christmas Ball

For those lucky enough to have grabbed a ticket, the time has come to dust of your dancing shoes, and drench yourself in shimmer powder. Have a great weekend!
