Every March, StAnza International Poetry Festival hits St Andrews and floods the town with poets, artists and creative pilgrims for half a week. However, slightly less well-known are their events in St Andrews throughout the year.
This Friday the popular Scottish poet Rab Wilson will be headlining at an open mic night in Zest. An in-house licensed bar will be open for the evening, and there will be free snacks for performers and audience alike.
Whether you want to take the stage or get a taste of poetry in the Scots language, it's free, so come along!
StAnza is supported each year by numerous student volunteers, who can contribute ushering, photography, sound and other areas (and see many events for free!). Watch this space if you'd like to be involved.
